Bruce Henry Bruce Henry is the In-House Counsel working primarily for the Employment Team at LLW. Bruce is a Barrister having been called to the Bar in 1988. Previously he had obtained a Law Degree from King's College, London where he was awarded the Special Leathes Prize for the AKC Examination in his final year. For a while Bruce taught on the London University LLB Law Degree Course at Holborn College before undertaking Pupillage. He was Pupil to HHJ Appleton at Winckley Square Chambers in Preston where he initially acted for Trade Union Members in industrial deafness cases. As a Tenant of those Chambers, Bruce subsequently built up a practice covering all aspects of Employment Law. Having joined LLW in August 2004, Bruce is excited at the prospect of bringing his advocacy and advisory skills from the Bar to a modern Solicitor's Practice. Under the Professional Rules as a Barrister, he will continue to be instructed by the Solicitors in the Employment Team rather than receiving instructions directly from Union Members. Bruce is a member of the Employment Law Association and remains a Door Tenant at Winckley Square Chambers. His outside interests include climbing,
walking and skiing.
