LLW Sponsors Prison Service Football Team


In or about 2004 the combined advocacy skills of Committee Members Alec Tait, Phil Campling & Nigel Masters persuaded Frank Rogers & Claire Mottershead that LLW should become a Sponsor of the PSSA Football Team and that link between the two organisations has since then been nurtured to much mutual benefit and enjoyment! This culminated in Frank attending the World Games in June 2005 in Quebec as a guest of the Team. His attendance was enough (if only!) to inspire the Team to winning the Tournament - hail the World Champions!

LLW hope to renew their sponsorship of the Team aftter the POA Conference in May 2006 and are discussing the possibility of also sponsoring the Ladies Football Team who also competed in Quebec. Both Teams did the Prison Service much credit as did all the many Competitors who attended the Games."
